COMPANY HISTORY
Browning has been a world-recognized name in electronics since the 1920's.
That legendary name was the second-oldest radio manufacturer in the United
States, following National Radio Company by only a few months.
Dr. Glenn Browning, Dr. Frederick H. Drake and Major Edwin Armstrong were
part of a very select and creative group of people who were years ahead of
their time. Their theories and inventions became the backbone of electronics.
In 1954 ownership of Browning Laboratories passed to Gardiner G. Greene, Sr.
He and his son, Gar Jr. continued the high standards of Browning's history with
their renowned Browning CB equipment. Browning equipment of all types has
the finest reputation for workmanship and reliability. To say that this gear has
become highly collectible would be an understatement.
It is with great pride we have carried this highly-respected name forward
into the new millenium, in honor of those who made it happen.
